I was also reading another article talking about what politicians like Rahm Emanuel keep in their portfolios when they've got a load of cash-- ~$11 million -- and don't want to look shady earning a super high rate of return. They also look to bonds-- municipal bonds in particular, for they are tax-free. One could essentially invest in a carbon-friendly methane gas-burner being built in MI, IA, KS, or IL. This was actually cited as one of Rahm's recent bond investments.
